Are you a podcast fan? In the last year I have really added listening to them regularly. I love listening while I’m doing tasks like folding laundry, cleaning or working in the kitchen. Sometimes it’s a nice signal to my children that Mommy is having some time where I need them to play on their own. Here is what I”m listening to these days:
Heidi St. John
Everything Heidi says is straight through Gods word. She discusses homeschool as well as tackles hot topics and encourages her listeners.
Minimal-ish
Desirae talks about minimalism in a fresh and applicable way. The guests she chats with bring up relevant topics and always come back to using minimalism as a tool to create space in life.
Read Aloud Revival
I first got to know Sarah Mackenzie through her book The Read-Aloud Family: Making Meaningful and Lasting Connections with Your Kids. She talks about book lists, tips and tools on reading more at home with your children, meets with authors and illustrators. Sarah also has a super cute segment called Let the Kids Speak where she shares recordings of kiddos sharing their favorite books, it’s adorable!
The Beginners Garden Podcast
I first found Jill just a few months ago and have binged listened to all of her tips and tricks. I cannot wait to start applying them to my garden! Jill discusses very approachable topics and common issues. She is truly relatable and has engaging guests.

I lean more toward true crime in my podcast listening. I’m finishing up one called Cold about Susan Powell, and I love Crime Junkie!
Listening right now to the Harvard Kennedy School of Government Disinformation Campaign that is seeking to inform the public of the facts about education in our nation. The meeting is being recorded live on FB. It is a counter move to the Harvard Law School’s upcoming summit that calls for a presumptive ban on homeschooling. Hope you’ll listen. Those against homeschooling are not using accurate or current facts and sadly want to model our nation as Germany where homeschooling is banned (Bartholet in particular). It is an effort to reshape our nation.
