Jessica, owner and baker of Mammy’s Bakery, has been baking up scrumptious treats like authentic cannolis, sfogliatelle, and Italian cookies for 2 years. A self taught cook and baker who was taught by her grandmothers is where she got the name for her shop. In her current location in Downtown Wiscasset for one year, she has also been making a wide, delicious and always revolving variety of lunch and dinner options for her customers. Chicken pot pie, lasagna, calzone, soups, eggplant Parmesan, and much more, can have your entire meal covered in one stop. Special orders are available as well. I just ordered my birthday cake and I cant wait to taste it!
Food memories are something I value whether it is making a recipe of my grandmother’s or patronizing a restaurant I used to go to years ago. When you walk into Jessica’s space you instantly feel warm and nostalgic with the aromas of the oven pumping out treats and the inviting atmosphere. I myself grew up visiting an Italian bakery near my grandparents house. I shared this with Jessica and we enjoyed quite a laugh when we discovered she was from that same area of New England and knew that same bakery!
