These scones are favorites of my boys and super easy to mix together. Great for breakfast or a snack. You can add lots of mix ins and even make them tiny for little hands. Call me a lazy baker but I also love that you dont have to cut butter into a dough. The heavy cream does all the work and the pumpkin makes it so I count it as a bit of a veggie for my boys. Bake these up for a yummy treat!
A great way to start your day with coffee or as a yummy homemade snack. Toss in your favorite mix ins!
In a large bowl whisk together dry ingredients.
* add any mix ins. We love chocolate chips and dried cranberries.

In a medium bowl combine cream and pumpkin.

With a wooden spoon stir together cream and pumpkin mixture.
Tip onto a floured surface. Add additional flour to prevent sticking. Kneed until a smooth dough forms. form into two balls.

Divide each dough ball into a flat disk. Cut into equal parts.
Lay scones onto parchment paper, or non stick pan or baking mat. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar.
*Turbinado is worth having in your pantry.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes, Until scones are browned on the bottom.

These are best enjoyed the day of baking but can stay in an air tight container for 5 days.
