Lavender is known for it’s support of relaxing and stress relief. A visit to Moore Manor Lavender in Newport is sure to take that relaxation to the next level. Doug and Peggy started out by simply trying to grow lavender and were successful so they decided to grow more and invite folks to their gardens. My boys and I visited last week and tried to grab some photos to hopefully add to your anticipation of the annual bloom. It’s hard to predict but if you follow Moore Manor on Facebook you can keep a close eye and know the best time to stop and visit.
Quiet chairs are tucked all over the space for you to bring a lunch or cold drink and simply take in all of the beauty. Children can participate in a scavenger hunt and photographers can book sessions with the owner (go to their website to book time slots). Clip your own lavender is also available to take home to dry, cook with and enjoy. You can host your small event among the lavender as well!
