Hello! Thanks for stopping by my corner of the internet. Today I’ll be sharing an update on our home that we built and moved into in February. If you need some back story go to this blog post and this blog post about my venture in minimalism.

Things are busy here!! Since I last updated on the house we have done a lot. In the spring we planted grass which makes a huge impact on the curb appeal, even if we don’t have a curb on our road. We were very fortunate to have the weather cooperate and sort of alternate days of sun and rain and it came in very nicely. Another plus is that Mr1 has now taken over the mowing job and is doing pretty well with the responsibility and skill in the task.

I finished painting all of the doors. I took it a few at a time and knocked them out a day each. My mom and Aunt came to help me paint the trim. I was wrangling boys and prepping areas more than painting but we got everything except for the inside of the boys rooms trip and baseboards painted. Very excited to check that off the list!

We made a place for our piano which was at our Pastors house. We couldn’t put the piano in storage and he and his wife graciously offered to house it in their dining room. It took longer than I had wanted because the driveway was covered in ice, then it was covered in mud and then we had to gather able hands to lift it but Mister grabbed some friends and got it done. We were lent a keyboard for the boys to practice until the piano was back and that was a perfect way to still get practice in but I sure missed the sound of a piano. We just need to get the bench from my parents house and that’ll be all set. I may or may not spray paint the bench and make a pad to coordinate with the living room. We’ll see on that one.
Mister has been hard at work on the shed and it’s just about finished. It’s really nice to have some extra space for yard items, bikes, and tools. It’s already fairly cramped but may be some motivation to clear more stuff out. The boys have been enjoying riding bikes on our road in this beautiful weather.

With the shed just about done we were able to clear out our storage unit. YAYYYYY!! Not only is it one less thing to pay for each month but it helped us sell and get rid of lots of items.
I have been shifting around some plants and got a new piece of artwork from Rustic Rose Designs for Mothers Day and I just love it!

We still have plenty of things to do but it’s really coming together and I love it! Now I need to start organizing school stuff….. more to post on that area of Melissa’s to do list. Thanks for reading!

We are also renovating our home. Everything is looking amazing.
