We needed a lot of groceries and got to Sam’s Club yesterday and did great! Our nearest SC is 45 minutes away. I had a lot to get and we were already near a Sam’s so I didn’t have to make a special trip out. Not everything we bought pictures because we got home late last night.
Not pictured-
Pork Tenderloin- I divided this up into four portions. One was cooked for today’s lunch and three pieces went into the freezer. $11 of meat for at least four meals!
Coffee- I’m trying to find a coffee I like that isnt flavored but for now this one is yummy.
In picture-
Goldfish- these will be kept for CC days or in the road snacks, NOT at home snacking. We’ll stretch them a bit longer that way.
Romaine lettuce- romaine lasts so well and preps nicely for a week’s worth of salads.
Gala Apples- sliced, whole, in oatmeal . We always have apples in the fridge. Galas are my go to because they are nice and crisp, sweet and not tart, and dont brown a lot when sliced for an on the go snack.
Pears-For snacking whole and sliced.
Block Cheddar Cheese- We’ll grate this on quesadillas and grilled cheese, sliced in sandwiches, or cubes for snacks.
Organic Carrots- I dont always buy organic but these were a good price. The 5 pound bags are my go to. I’ll cut up carrot sticks for snacks and to round out a quick dinner and grate them in salads and in mac and cheese. This is my go to grater, I use it every day for both carrots and cheese.
Sliced Hard Salami- The boys love this in sandwiches and in a snacky lunch with cubed cheese and pretzels or crackers.
Bananas- We go through a lot of bananas! I have trouble over buying them so I have some in the freezer for smoothies and banana bread.
Baking Cocoa- I ran through almost an entire container of cocoa last week making Mister’s birthday cake. I like to make hot chocolate for the boys by warming milk and whisking in maple syrup, and cocoa together in a sauce pan.
Walnuts- these were a good price. Mister has walnuts on his oatmeal every morning. I also like to have them for snacking.
Ground Beef- I’ll use this for tacos on Tuesday and then probably freeze the rest into 1 pound portions.
Baby Spinach- I saute spinach for my breakfast and toss it with romaine for salad.
Mushrooms- another part of my breakfast veggies. I also have them on hand for pizza toppings.
Crumbled Feta- Mr. 2 is a cheese fanatic so we had fun roaming the cheese case. We debated on the block feta but decided on the crumbled so it’ll last a bit longer. We’ll toss it in eggs, and salad.
Bacon- One of the two will go in the freezer. I’ll bake up one pack to use in breakfast sandwiches, on salad, or sandwiches.
Coffee- I’m trying to find a coffee that is a good price, is not flavored and I enjoy the flavor of. For now this one is yummy.
Total was $146.98.
A great trip after enjoying the trampoline park with the big boys and we enjoyed dinner out with my parents. We also stopped by Uncle Dean’s Natural Grocer and picked up a 50 pound bag of flour and 50 pound bag of oats. Monday is becoming a bit of my baking day so I’m all stocked up! Today we enjoyed morning church service, got home to our pork roast, and had some quiet time playing and getting some fresh air.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a great week ahead!

I’ve been enjoying a hot cocoa type drink you might want to try! In a high powered blender: do half a cooked sweet potato, 1.25 c milk of choice (I do unsweetened flax with protein–if vanilla I don’t add any but if plain, add a tsp of vanilla to this), a date, and 2-3 TBSP cocoa powder and a dash of cinnamon. I let it mix until hot; often it gets too thick so just adjust liquid as necessary. Can make sweeter with another date :). Wal-mart here has them with no nut risk, chopped or whole. God bless you guys!
We don’t have a SC near us, but I keep meaning to get to one (or a costco/bj’s) to check out the commotion because people seem to love them!! Looks like you got some awesome things!!
